FCSD recognizes that foam wrap is not appropriate for all bumper covers and therefore, selected covers will be reviewed for conversion to more protective packaging. Our plan is to utilize damage claims data and dealer feedback to conduct this prioritized review. Covers will be segmented by part characteristics (i.e., configuration, finish, weight, etc.) and type of damage (i.e., scratches, permanent deformation, etc.) to help develop appropriate packaging solutions. In addition to putting selected parts into corrugated cartons (as shown at left), we are also conducting a test on a new blue foam wrap (also pictured at left) that is twice as thick as the present white wrap. Please assist us in our decision to adopt this upgraded packaging by completing the yellow evaluation card attached to each part. Some significant bumper cover packaging improvements have already been made and you can view specific parts in the "Revisions List" section under "Recent Packaging Improvements". |
